Goulinas Adventure Spercheiada, in collaboration with the Municipality of Makrakomi and the Region of Central Greece, is organizing an Open Downhill Race. The race is part of the Open Panhellenic Downhill Cup 2025 as the first race of the cup.

Course Details:
- Length: 2,250 meters
- Starting Elevation: 880m
- Finishing Elevation: 330m
COURSE DETAILS:
The course is 2,250 meters long, of medium technical difficulty, featuring off-camber sections, jumps, wooden and dirt constructions. It is built within a forest of fir and oak trees for downhill bikes with a minimum of 160mm front and rear suspension travel (Full-suspension). The track will be marked at all difficult or unusual sections, and there will be alternative routes (chicken runs) for the most challenging sections.
The starting point is 20 minutes (8.75km) from Spercheiada, west of Ano Kallithea village, at an altitude of 880m.
The finish line is located at Prophet Elias Chapel, 1.5km from Spercheiada's main square (3 min).
The uplift point will begin from Spercheiada’s square (20 min to the start, 7 km asphalt + 1.75 km dirt road).

- 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Free practice (€20 for the whole day)
Saturday, 15/03/2025
- 08:00 AM: Registration opens
- 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Track walk
- 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM: Free training for competitors (race number required on bike)
- 4:30 PM: Track closes for maintenance and inspection
Note: The registration office will remain open during practice sessions. All participants must collect and display their race number on their bike during training.

- 08:00 AM: Registration office opens
- 08:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Official practice (minimum 2 runs required)
- 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM: First timed run (Qualifier)
- 2:30 PM: Final timed run
- 4:30 PM: Award ceremony at Spercheiada Square
CATEGORIES
- Super Mini: 8 - 12 years (2013-2017)
- Mini Junior: 13 - 15 years (2012-2010)
- Junior: 16 - 18 years (2009-2007)
- Elite: 19 - 29 years (2006-1996)
- Master: 30 - 39 years (1995-1986)
- Veteran: 40+ years (1985 and earlier)
- Women: Open age category
- E-Bikes: Open age category
Minors aged 8-12 & 13-15 must be accompanied by a guardian, while 15-18-year-olds must provide a guardian-signed consent form, certified by a public authority (KEP, police station).
For all Junior categories, full protective equipment is mandatory:
- Full-face helmet
- Goggles
- Chest protector
- Knee pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
PARTICIPATION LIMIT & RULES
- Maximum 120 participants (priority based on bank deposit).
- The race includes two timed runs:
- The first run (Qualifier) determines the starting order.
- Final Run: The fastest rider from Qualifiers starts last.
- In case of delays or worsening weather conditions, the race director may start riders every 30 seconds and reschedule the Final Run earlier if qualifiers finish ahead of time.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- Good health and physical condition required.
- Bikes must be in excellent working order.
- Participants must wear full safety gear:
- Full-face helmet
- Goggles
- Chest protector
- Knee pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
If any rider lacks mandatory safety equipment, they will not be allowed to race.
- Riders must display their race number on their bike at all times (training, qualifiers, and final).
- If a rider withdraws, they must inform the race office.
- A medical team and rescue personnel will be on-site.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
- Competitors participate at their own risk.
- The organizer is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages to participants' equipment or health.
- Competitors confirm they understand the risks of downhill mountain biking and have sufficient experience and health insurance.
- The organizer is not responsible for injuries to third parties.
- By registering, athletes waive any claims against the organizers, sponsors, and officials.
COURSE MODIFICATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
- The organizer reserves the right to modify the course for safety reasons.
- The event may be delayed, canceled, or rescheduled due to bad weather or other factors.
PROTESTS & PENALTIES
- Riders can submit protests within 30 minutes after finishing.
- The decision of the appeals committee is final.
- Disqualifications for:
- Not displaying race number
- Receiving outside assistance
- Using motorized/electric assist (except E-Bike category)
- Littering
- Obstructing other riders
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Failure to follow officials' instructions
- Rude behavior toward organizers, judges, or volunteers
- Skipping technical inspection
- Failure to attend the scheduled start time
- Refusing a medical check if required
ADVERTISING & MEDIA
By registering, athletes agree to be photographed and filmed during the race and awards for promotional purposes.
RACE REGULATIONS
The event follows Hellenic Cycling Federation (E.O.P.) & UCI regulations.
The organizer may modify rules if necessary but will not change the core race format.
